Reverse Thrust

a very janky space-themed "rail" shooter

shoot down aberrations while dodging asteroids

activate reverse thrust to shoot down the lingering creatures

WASD to move

space + A/D to barrel roll

left click to shoot

R to reverse thrust

alt + f4 to exit

This is my first game in godot as a submission for the Acerola Jam 0

My interpretation of aberration is both literal and figurative

I see the reverse thrust mode as an unexpected change to traditional rail shooters that is most likely unwanted (at least when you have to dodge oncoming obstacles from behind using a low res mirror)

no sounds because I am running out of time and in space no one can hear anything anyways :)

p.s. I just realized that restarting on game over doesn't allow reverse thrust to activate properly so just alt+f4 and relaunch if you really want to play again.
